Growing Up

Age is a strange and never changing thing. Why is it that we people can rarely be completely satisfied? When we are young we want to be old, and then once we get old we reminice about the "good ol' days" when we were young. -I've decided to be content with always changing.- I don't have to always like change, but I can be content with it, and hopefully even happy about it. I think it's great to think back to younger days when things were a lot more carefree. When the things I worried about consisted of a skinned knee from climbing trees and chasing chickens all day. Instead of things like my busy job, dating drama, and money. But there is always that ray of sunshine peakin' through the clouds; my busy job keeps me from being lazy and I learn a lot, dating can be incredibly fun, and money... well it's necessary in today's world, and at times also very fun. The world is in constant change, I mean it is constantly spinning around and around, so we might as well just accept that. How do we do that? My suggestion is to focus on that ray of sunshine. Remember the good times, but don't dwell on them long enough to forget that you are having those good times right now too (ok, maybe not this very moment by reading this blog... but in general). Growing up just makes a person smarter anyways. Sometimes we have to be pushed and go through a lot of trials to learn, but that's why it's called growing up, because we change and adapt and bloom! Life is FULL of incredible moments and opportunites that we shouldn't miss. Don't give up on your dreams because of silly "adult priorities" and don't ever be afraid to grow up. Enjoy every moment of it!
